In 2020, Abhinay's mother, Priya Berde, in a social media post, revealed a fraudster who was pretending to be Abhinay Berde on social media. Priya Berde explained that the fraudster duped a girl on Facebook; the fraudster demanded a bold photograph from the girl and said that she would be offered a role in one of Abhinay's films. Abhinay, during an interview, talked about the incident and requested his fans and netizens to report and block such imposters. Abhinay said,
My mother received a message claiming that a fake profile on Facebook by the name of Abhinay Berde, who is messaging some women on the pretext of offering roles for my next film or recommending them for my next film with a well-known director. And claiming that film contains some bold sequence and you need to send your bold pictures.I condemn such type of cheap behaviour and I request you to report and block such imposters. And anyone asking for bold pictures is just being a cheap and it strict action need to take against such people."

  • Son of the noted actor Laxmikant Berde, Abhinay was fascinated by acting since childhood and wanted to become an actor. Abinay, during his schooling, often participated in cultural functions and stage plays. In an interview, Abhinay talked about his fondness for acting and said,

    As a kid, I have always dreamt of becoming an actor even before I knew anything about my parents’ work in the industry. Films have had a huge influence on me not only during my childhood but even on my journey as an actor. For me, it was never about just being an actor, it is also about making good films and entertaining the audience. I always wanted to become an actor, cinema has been my passion, and if my parents were not in the acting field, I would still have chosen to be an actor.”

  • Abhinay, during an interview, talked about his father, Laxmikant Berde, and said that he never imitated his father in films. Abhinay said,

    I remember him telling mum‘If you want to be a superstar, you should make films that a family can watch together’. When it comes to work, I never imitate him. I want to do different films and experiment with genres.”

  • While Abhinay was pursuing his undergraduate degree at Mithibai College, Mumbai, he was a member of the Intercollege Drama Team and often participated as a theatre artist in various theatrical productions. In an interview, Abhinay recalled his college days and said that he once won the Best Actor Award at a competition held at Mumbai University, Mumbai. Abhinay recalled,

    I was doing theatre at that time. I was working in Intercollege Drama Team at Mithibai College, Mumbai. We performed in one of the reputed competitions held under the Mumbai University. Students from all over Maharashtra had come to compete. Also, renowned directors and producers have been attending these inter-college competitions and events in search of fresh talents. Our play won the gold medal, and I won the Best Actor award for the play that year.”

  • In 2017, at the age of twenty, Abhinay made his film debut with the Marathi film Ti Saddhya Kay Karte (2017) in which he played the role of young Anurag. Abhinay, during an interview, talked about how he bagged his debut film Ti Saddhya Kay Kart (2017). Abhinay said that the director of the film, Satish Rajwade, approached his mother after acknowledging his work in theatrical productions. Further, in the same interview, Abhinay said that owing to his graduation, he was sceptical about accepting the film offer; however, later, Satish Rajwade influenced him to manage his acting career with his studies.

    Many actors have contributed to the CM and PM relief funds but we felt the need to personally reach out to the needy people within our industry and do whatever we can for them. It is sad that film artistes don’t have a job gaurantee. If they have to apply for a loan, they are unable to get it easily. This also adds to their stress. So, we are trying our best to reach as many people as possible. We also plan to Nalasopara, Virar and Vasai areas.”
