• Aman Sehrawat lost his mother to depression when he was 10 years old.

• A year later, his father, affected by his wife’s death, also passed away.

• Aman Sehrawat and his younger sister, Puja Sehrawat, were raised by their elder uncle, Sudhir Sehrawat, and a maternal aunt.

• After his parents’ death, he went into severe depression. Aman Sehrawat’s grandfather, Mangeram Sehrawat, played a crucial role in helping him recover from depression.

• He excelled in school sports and won short-distance races in village competitions.

• During his free time, Aman Sehrawat began watching wrestling matches of Sushil Kumar, an Indian wrestler, on television. He was inspired by his playing techniques.

• After that, he began learning wrestling at a local training centre.

• In 2021, Sehrawat achieved his first National Championship title. During this time, Lalit Kumar was his coach.

• In 2023, the United World Wrestling suspended the Wrestling Federation of India for failing to hold timely elections. Indian wrestlers had to compete under the neutral International Olympic Committee flag at the World Championships 2023 due to the suspension. Aman Sehrawat was one of the affected wrestlers competing under the neutral flag.
