- On 7 November 2021, Andreína Martínez represented the Dominican community in the United States and won the title of Miss Republica Dominicana 2021 after competing against 14 other candidates.
- After winning the title of Miss Republica Dominicana 2021, Andreína Martínez was supposed to compete at Miss Universe 2021; however, she had to withdraw her name as she tested positive for COVID-19. She was then replaced by Miss Republica Dominicana’s 2021 first runner-up, Debbie Aflalo, who represented the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel, on 13 December 2021.
