Some Lesser Known Facts About Anupama Yadav

• At a very young age, Anupama Yadav moved from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh to Patna, Bihar to make her career in singing. The person who helped her at that time was her close friend Subham Kumar Sona Sitamani.

• She did her training in singing under her guru Tripurari Mishra. Before her training in singing, her guru trained her to play tabla. After a few months of training, her guru suggested her to start singing publically in her village’s Jagran programs.

• In the early days of singing, Anupama used to do Jagrans.

• Once, during a Jagran in Gorakhpur, Anupama Yadav was taken off the stage saying that some other singer had come there to perform. She felt insulted and cried the whole night.

• She did her professional training in singing at “Rashtriya Sangeet Vidyalaya.”

• In 2019, her brother was born after around 20 years of her birth. In an interview, she said that she sang the religious song “Dilwa Ke Lalsa” in the desire of her brother, and she was blessed that god fulfilled her wish.

• After her song “Dil Na Lagaiha” became a hit, the Bhojpuri singer-actor Pawan Singh offered her the song “Le Lo Pudina.” The song was released on Wave Music on 19 June 2021. The song was recorded in almost five years.

• She gives all the credit of her success to her parents.

• During her initial career days, she charged around Rs 1600 for a stage show. After gaining popularity, she started charging around Rs 1,50,000 for a stage show.

• She considers the Bhojpuri singer and actor Pawan Singh his idol.

• In an interview, she shared that she was dating someone and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
