  • Arvind Singh is an Indian rower who has won many medals in national and international tournaments.
  • During his teenage years, Arvind used to play cricket as an all-rounder, and he did not know about the rowing sport before he was selected for the army.
  • In 2013, he was selected for the Indian Army on his 5th attempt after passing 12th, and in 2016, he was selected for the Army rowing team due to his athletic body. He started his training at the Army Rowing Node in Pune.

  • He later formed a team with Arjun Lal Jat, and they competed in various tournaments in the Men’s Light Weight Double Scull (LM2X) category, particularly in 2000-metre races.

  • In an interview, Arvind talked about his training and said that he trains three times a day which include a training session of 3 and a half hour in the morning, one and a half hours in the afternoon, and 2 and a half hours in the evening.
