In October 2022, Bhavish arrived for a visit at the Ola Electric manufacturing plant, he was quick to spot a shuttered entryway which was supposed to be open. He immediately summoned the manager and also punished him for his negligence asking him to run three laps around the seven-acre large plant. On 18 January 2023, the consumer court ordered Bhavish to pay 10,000 rupees after a Bangaluru man named Vikas Bhushan reached court against the cab providing service, Ola. He wanted to seek compensation for the malfunctioned air condition in the cab that he booked for a journey of 80km on 18 October 2021. In the verdict of the case court ordered Bhavish Aggarwal to bear Litigation expenses of Rs 5000 of the complainant, apart from refunding his trip fare of Rs 1837 with interest [2]Times of India
Verbal Feud with Kunal Kamra
In October 2024, he hit the headlines due to his verbal feud with the comedian Kunal Kamra on Twitter. It all began when Kunal shared a tweet with a picture of various scooters parked outside the Ola service station which could not get serviced, he questioned the ola services once they sold their scooters. To which Bhavish verbally attacked at Kunal's career calling him a "failed comedian". He asked Kunal to work at Ola service station for which he will pay him.

  • Bhavish spent his childhood in United Kingdoms. His parents moved to Ludhiana, India when he was ten years old.
  • Bhavish went to Kota, Rajasthan to for the IIT entrance exam, although he could not pass the exam in his first attempt and later went back to Ludhiana, prepared for the exam at home and cleared the IIT entrance exam.
  • In 2004, he secured rant of 23rd rank in the IIT entrance exam.
  • He started his career with Microsoft Research India as a research intern and later got reinstated as an assistant researcher.
  •  in July 2010, Bhavish Aggarwal filed two patents and published three papers in international journals at Microsoft, however, he later left Microsoft.
  • Bhavish shared the story behind the idea of OLA cabs. He shared that while he was traveling from Bangalore to Bandipur in a car, the driver stopped and started negotiating the previously fixed deal and travel fare, when Bhavish denied giving the extra fare that the driver demanded, he left him in the middle of the road, which left Bhavish very annoyed, and that is how he got the inspiration to start an online cab service.
