• Bonita Rajpurohit was born as a boy but as he grew up, he started identifying himself as a female and later became a transgender woman.

• When he was in his teenage years, he felt depressed as he could not understand his sexuality and also thought about committing suicide.

• At the age of 16, he told his elder sister Jyotsana that his sexual desires were like a female. Jyotsana supported Bonita and also helped him to deal with the stress of being transgender.

• In August 2017, she started walking the ramp in various fashion shows. She later did modelling for Archana Kochhar at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2019 and Irina Ghosh at India Art Fair, Italian Embassy in Delhi in 2019.

• In August 2017, she co-founded Durt Studios and Durty Fits, a fashion website for reselling used clothes, with her sister Jyotsana. She has done modelling for various brands as well.
