- Hardik Tamore grew up in Chinchani, Palghar district, Maharashtra.
- At the age of 13, he began his professional cricket training.
- In an interview, Hardik’s father said that when Hardik was studying at Tarapur Vidya Mandir in Boisar, he was performing well for the school cricket team in the Under-14 inter-school tournament. He requested the school team coach, Prakash Parsule, to allow Hardik to change schools, but the request was denied.
- Later, Deepak Patil, a former member of the Mumbai Cricket Association’s managing committee, watched Hardik play in Boisar and advised the family to relocate him to Mumbai for better cricket opportunities. Although the family decided to continue his schooling at Tarapur, his father sent him for selection trials at the Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy, Mahul, Trombay, Mumbai, where Hardik was selected.
