Kamaljeet Rana’s love for dancing began in childhood. He was inspired by Hrithik Roshan’s performance in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000).

Kamaljeet Rana worked as a software developer before becoming an actor. In 2010, he joined Dell as a software developer and worked there until 2012.

In 2012, he joined Virtusa as a software developer and worked until 2013.

He started working as a freelance model in 2010. He has walked on the ramp for the fashion designer Ramesh Dembla and was associated with Bangalore Fashion Week (BFW) as a model for three seasons.

He received his first payment of Rs. 5000 for 5 days of modelling.

He got training in acting from the acting school known as Kreating Charakters Acting Institute, Mumbai.

He has worked with theatre groups in Mumbai to gain more experience as an actor. In an interview, he stated,

I would prefer acting over everything! I am also getting into theatres now as theatres give you more insight and experience to deal with live audience. You feel a direct connect with the audience and your fans.”
