• In an interview, he talked about how the rumours from the fans of the American TV show, ‘Game of Thrones’ (2011–2019) helped him get cast in the show.

• He claimed that while visiting his chiropractor, an American newspaper asked him to confirm the rumours spread by the fans of him being cast as one of the characters, Tormund Giantsbane on the show.

• After some time, his agent met the show’s casting director, Nina Gold and showed him Kristofer Hivju’s photographs, who was preparing to audition for the Irish-Canadian TV show, ‘Vikings.’

• Impressed by his photos, Kristopher was called for an audition and later, selected for the role.

• To prepare for his role as Tormund Giantsbane, he would run into the woods and hit trees. He talked about his preparation in an interview and said,
  

  Every season. I ran into the woods. I had a stick. I was hitting trees. I was screaming. Tormund is a powerful guy with a lot of energy. I needed space to get ready for him.”
