  • Pandit Dixit led a team of 121 Vedic scholars in performing the consecration ceremony of the idol of ‘Ram Lalla’ that started on 16 January with the basic rituals including Sarva Prayashchit homam and Dashvid snan, leading up to the final ritual of Devpranpratishtha, which took place on 22 January 2024.
  • He was the 11th-generation descendant of Pandit Gaga Bhatt, a famous scholar from Kashi in the 17th century. Pandit Gaga Bhatt was famous for leading the coronation ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji in 1674.
  • In an interview, he shared his experience of supervising the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of the ‘Ram Lalla’ idol at the Ram temple in Ayodhya and said,

    It is because of the blessings bestowed on me by the legendary saints and seers of Kashi that I have been assigned the responsibility of supervising the consecration of Ram Lalla. I will perform my duties with the blessings of Lord Ram.”
