  • His company Cursor was acquired by SpaceX in an $60 billion all-stock deal.
  • Under the agreement, Anysphere, the parent company of Cursor, became a fully owned subsidiary of SpaceX.
  • The deal ended the four-year journey of Anysphere, in which the startup grew into one of the world’s most valuable artificial intelligence (AI) software companies.
  • This partnership was signed in April 2026. The SpaceX took the time to choose an option whether to acquire Cursor for $60 billion or to pay a $10 billion as collaboration fee.
  • SpaceX then chose to acquire the company through its sister company xAI.
  • The deal also gives Cursor access to Colossus, xAI’s huge AI training system. This system was powered by about 200,000 Nvidia GPUs.
