Since childhood, Peenaz Tyagi wanted to become a news anchor. When she was in the 10th standard, she used to actively participate in various shows of Doordarshan, such as Akashvani, and Yuva Vani.

In 2003, she joined Zee Media Corporation Limited as a news anchor; however, she resigned after three years.

In 2006, she joined Aaj Tak as a news anchor where she hosted many popular shows, such as Dilli Aaj Tak and Tez.

She left Aaj Tak after working for eight years, and then, she joined News Nation as a news anchor and editor.
