- Rehman Dakait was born and grew up in Lyari, Karachi, Pakistan.
- He was a Pakistani gangster who terrorised Lyari in the 2000s. His character was played by Akshaye Khanna in the film Dhurandhar (2025).
- Rehman was raised in a family with deep criminal ties.
- His father, Muhammad, and paternal uncle, Sheru, had been involved in drug smuggling since 1964.
- Like his father and uncle from a very young age, Dakait entered the drug trade as a boy.
- When he was 13 years old, he stabbed a man and committed his first big crime.
- In 1995, at the age of 19, Rehman committed one of his most shocking crimes when he strangled his mother and hung her from a ceiling fan. At that time, it was speculated that she was involved in a rival gang.
- In the late 1990s, Rehman joined a gang led by Haji Lalu.
- In 2001, after the arrest of Haji Lalu, Dakait became the chief of Lalu’s gang.
