Some Lesser Known Facts About Sachet Engineer

• In 2007, in the film Taare Zameen Par, Sachet Engineer played the role of Yohaan Sharma, who was an intelligent student and a protective older brother to Ishaan Awasthi, a character played by Darsheel Safary.

• He once stated in a media talk that he never planned to audition for Taare Zameen Par. He added that he came from a film background as his grandmother, Krishna Kumari Seth, was an actress and his grandfather, Suraj Prakash, was a producer.

• So, he was always surrounded by people from film industry. Sachet Engineer said,
  

  The makers were originally auditioning my younger brother. I just happened to be there and they asked me, ‘Why don’t you also audition?’ I did, and a month later, I got a call. I was 11 at that time.”

• The success of the film made him famous, but he chose to stay away from the spotlight.

• Later, he was featured in a few advertisements and received offers to act in more films.
• However, he said no to those offers as he wanted to focus on his studies and avoided the distractions.

• In 2022, during a media conversation, he said that he might return to acting someday.

• During his graduation at DY Patil University, Sachet Engineer won a gold medal in Periodontology, which focuses on the treatment of gum diseases.

• After completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree, he moved from India to the United Kingdom to study for an M.Clin.Dent (Master of Clinical Dentistry) in Periodontology at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London.

• Sachet Engineer also passed both parts of the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE). He practices full time dentistry in the UK.

• After completing his formal education, he started working as a Specialty Grade Doctor in Periodontology at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital. This hospital is part of University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
