• Born in a Sikh family in Ambala, Haryana, Sahaj, soon after completing his undergraduate degree, joined his family business, Chopra Automobiles.

• In 2014, Sahaj worked as an assistant director for the Hindi-language film Daawat-e-Ishq; the film stars his sister Parineeti Chopra, and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role.

• In 2018, he established the UK’s celebrated cookies brand Millie’s Cookies franchise in Saket, New Delhi, India. In an interview, Shaj talked about how he decided to open the franchise of Millie’s Cookies in India and said,
