• Sakshi Chaudhary was born and raised in Bhiwani, Haryana in a family engaged in agriculture.

• In 2012, at the age of 9, she started learning boxing and initially trained under Jagdish Singh.

• Later, she moved to Patiala, Punjab and enrolled at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, run by the Sports Authority of India.

• In 2015, at the age of 12, Sakshi won the gold medal in the 54 Kg category at the IBA Youth and Junior World Boxing Championships in Taipei by defeating American boxer, Yarisel Ramirez in the final.

• In 2017, she won the gold medal in the bantamweight (54 kg) category at the AIBA Youth Women’s World Boxing Championships at Guwahati, after defeating England’s Ivy Jane Smith in the final. After her win, she became one of the youngest Indian boxers to win a world title in age-group boxing.

• In 2018, Chaudhary became a two-time Youth World Champion after winning the gold medal in the 57 kg category at the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budapest. She defeated Croatia’s Nikolina Ćaćić in the final.

• In 2021, Sakshi won the bronze medal in the 54 kg category at the Asian Boxing Championships held in Dubai and earned her first senior continental medal.

• In 2022, Sakshi won her first Senior National Championship title, however, a shoulder injury later that year affected her progress.

• Because of the injury Chaudhary missed the national championships and the selection process for the World Championships and the Paris Olympics qualifiers.

• Before 2025, she joined the Indian Army and served as Havildar.

• In 2025, Sakshi won the gold medal in the women’s 54 kg category at the World Boxing Cup in Astana by defeating USA’s Yoseline Perez by a 5-0 unanimous decision.

• In 2026, Sakshi moved from the 54 kg category to the 51 kg category because fellow Indian boxer, Preeti Pawar had already secured India’s quota in the 54 kg division for the Commonwealth Games.

• During the national selection trials of Commonwealth Games, she defeated 2025 World Boxing Championships gold medallist, Minakshi Hooda to secure her place in India’s squad for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

• In the round of 16 of the women’s 51 kg event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, she defeated Botswana’s Lethabo Modukanele by unanimous decision to advance to the quarter-finals.

• In the semi-finals match, she defeated Amber Jane Wall of Canada to reach the gold medal match.
