• He started taking an interest in music at a very early age,  and by the age of 7, he started performing at weddings and Jagarans to earn the livelihood for his family.

• In 2011, he took part in Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ under the mentorship of Kailash Kher and ended up as the runner-up.

• His family had such a poor financial condition that they couldn’t afford to send him to the Delhi auditions of Indian Idol 10. At that time, his close friend Manohar Sharma helped him financially.

• On 23 December 2018, he was declared the winner of ‘Indian Idol 10,’ He won the trophy, ₹25 lakh cash prize and a Datsun car.
