• Shikha Malhotra is an Indian actress, host, and nurse. She earned the title of a “corona warrior” from numerous media outlets due to her unwavering dedication while serving at a hospital in Mumbai for approximately 100 days during the Covid-19 pandemic. She is known for playing the role of ‘Kajri’ in the Hindi film ‘Kaanchli: Life in a Slough’ (2020).

• She had a deep passion for acting and dance since childhood. She is a trained Kathak dancer.

• In an interview, she revealed that her first dance performance on stage took place when she was just three and a half years old.

• After completing her formal education, Shikha enrolled for an acting course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.

I started visiting hospitals in Mumbai from the very next day until I found a government hospital. • Amidst her services as a nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic, she contracted the virus and received a positive test result on 2 October 2020. After more than a month of battling the illness, she finally recovered. However, during her recovery phase, she suffered a stroke on 10 December 2020, leading to paralysis on her right side. At first, she was admitted to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, but when her condition didn’t show significant improvement, she was shifted to KEM Hospital.

• She underwent treatment for almost two years to recover from the disease. During her treatment, the excessive intake of steroids made her obese. However, after her full recovery from the disease, she worked hard to get back her body in shape. Later, she took to the internet to share her pictures, showcasing her incredible physical transformation.
