- Srimurali hails from a family of actors and film producers.
- He is the son of film producer S. A. Chinne Gowda who also served as the Vice-President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in Bengaluru.
- In the 2004 Kannada romance drama film ‘Kanti,’ he portrayed Srikantha ‘Kanti,’ a college student who becomes politically embroiled after falling in love with a Marathi girl.
- He was credited as Murali in films from 2003 to 2007 and as Sriimurali from 2008 onwards.
