Controversies | • #MeToo Controversy with Mahima Kukreja On 4th of October 2018, Mahima Kukreja took Tweeter to claim that Utsav has sent her pictures of his genitals without her consent. She also claimed and accused Utsav of harassing and sending pictures of his genitals to multiple other women. She also accused him of sexually harassing a minor girl as well. This led to Utsav losing his job as a writer at AIB (eventually AIB also got shutdown due to this controversy) and a lot of his work with AIB and other media houses being taken down. The Mumbai police reached out to Mahima asked them to register a complaint with the nearest police station but not a single F.I.R. was registered. A year later in 2019 Utsav came out with his side of story and claimed that all the allegations on his were false and fabricated. |

Some Lesser Known Facts About Utsav Chakraborty
- Utsav was four years old when he saw a billboard for the film titled “The Mask” while travelling to a family friend’s house. Then at the age of seven, he saw the film, The Mask. This film led to his interest in comedy.
- Utsav is a big fan of superheroes and loves to collect action figurines. He even shares them on his Instagram.
- Utsav has been an active member of the Indian comedy scene since 2010.
- Utsav achieved his first online popularity with a parody Twitter account of Chetan Bhagat named @SatanBhagat which he used to operate and post troll tweets on Chetan Bhagat in 2012.

- After a year of the #metoo controversy, in November 2019 a YouTube channel named “EXPOSE MAHIMA” uploaded 2 audio clips were uploaded. The clips appeared to be of the conversation between Utsav and Mahima Kukreja’s sister, Mansi Kukreja who was also her legal advisor in the case.
- In the audio recordings, Mahima and Mansi threaten Utsav with legal action if he “leaks certain screenshots” that could contradict parts of the charges.

Utsav also claimed, referring to screenshots, that the girl claiming to be ‘much younger’ than him was only a year younger, at 26 years old, and that he never harassed her.
