- Vijay Kumar Arora is an Indian cinematographer and film director. He is known for directing the National award-winning Punjabi film Harjeeta (2018).
- Following the death of Arora’s mother, his grandmother suggested that he should move to London, where many of his close relatives were residing. When his grandmother approached Arora’s uncles with this suggestion, they refused to take him along to London citing that he had cut his hair short, a taboo in Punjabi families. They believed that Arora’s influence might spoil their kids. So, he decided to make his career in India and ran away to Mumbai seeking job opportunities.
