Some Lesser Known Facts About Vijay Yadav

Vijay Yadav is an Indian gangster and sharpshooter. On 6 June 2023, he was arrested by the police for murdering the Indian gangster Sanjeev Jeeva at the premises of Kaiserbagh Court in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

In 2020, Vijay moved to Mumbai to work at Tata Pipes company. However, he wasn’t happy with his job there, so in May 2023, he returned to his village. He then started looking for a job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, Vijay Yadav doesn’t have a long history of criminal activities. His name was only connected to two cases, which were the abduction of a teenage girl and the violation of COVID-19 guidelines.

Vijay’s father, Sama Yadav, used to own a sweet shop in Deogaon, Azamgarh. Sometimes, Vijay would help out at the shop. One day, while he was working there, he met a teenage girl. They became friends and eventually started having romantic feelings for each other.

On 10 July 2016, Vijay and the teenage girl made a decision to run away from their homes. Vijay’s family didn’t know about this until 25 July 2016. Their neighbours told Vijay’s family that the sweet shop had been closed for a few days. Since Vijay’s family was busy with his older brother’s wedding, they assumed Vijay was taking care of the shop. The girl’s family had already filed a complaint against Vijay at the Deogaon Police Station in Azamgarh under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Vijay was later arrested and sent to jail. However, the case was resolved outside of court with the involvement of the girl’s family, they found a way to solve the issue without going to trial. In 2020, another case was filed against him during the coronavirus pandemic. The case was filed because he didn’t follow the rules for COVID-19.

On 10 May 2023, Vijay came back to his village from Mumbai to attend his cousin’s wedding. The next day, on 11 May, he travelled to Lucknow in search of a job. He called his father, Sama Yadav, to let him know that he had found work in a company that installs water pipelines. Vijay said that he would be working in Lucknow. After that phone call, he didn’t get in touch with his family.

On 7 June 2023, a gangster named Sanjeev Jeeva, a close aide of the Indian gangster and politician Mukhtar Ansari was shot and killed by unknown attackers in Lucknow. The attackers were dressed like lawyers and they attacked inside a special court. During the attack, two police officers, a six-year-old girl, and an 18-month-old baby were also hurt. Later, the local police found out that one of the attackers was Vijay Yadav, who went into court with Sanjeev. Reportedly, Vijay quickly pulled out a hidden gun and shot Jeeva from behind. Jeeva couldn’t react in time and died right away. After the attack, Vijay tried to run away, but the lawyers there caught him and started to physically harm him. The police had to work hard to rescue Vijay from the violent situation. Right after the attack, Vijay was taken into police custody.

Later, during a conversation with the media, his mother mentioned that she received a phone call from Vijay on 15 May when she was at her parents’ house. After that, his mobile phone was turned off. His mother emphasized that he didn’t have any criminal tendencies and the idea of him being involved in such an incident is terrifying. She also mentioned that Vijay used to earn a good income in Mumbai and would send money home to help with expenses. However, since he went to Lucknow, he hasn’t sent any money at all.

According to his brother’s statement,

When we asked the father what he had said, he told us that Vijay had returned home in March. He told everyone at home that he was earning less money in Mumbai. He wasn’t receiving his salary on time. That’s why he was going to Lucknow to find work. After that, he went to Lucknow on March 22. Vijay told us that he was working for a company involved in water pipeline installation there.”
