  • Altaf Raja is an Indian Qawwali singer who is known for singing the song ‘Tum To Thehre Pardesi’ in 1997. In the 1990s, his first song ‘Tum To Thehre Pardeshi’ sold around 70 lakh cassettes in one night. The song was included in Guinness World Record because it sold the highest number of cassettes at that time.
  • He started his music training at the age of 18. He was inspired by his father who was also a musician. He always wanted to become a qawwali singer and never wanted to work as a playback singer, but his mother suggested he worked hard at every opportunity he got.
