Tarana Raja Kapoor has always been passionate about dancing and is a trained Kathak dancer. She started her career as a Kathak teacher in Shiamak Davar’s dance academy. She has also won the title ‘Shringar Mani’ for Kathak.

She wanted to pursue MBA. But during her college, one of her friends told her about an opening in radio Midday. She went for the audition and got selected.

Later she got a chance to host a TV show Zee & You on Zee TV, and after that, there was no looking back for her.

She was awarded Rapa Award for ‘Best show’ (2007) for Flashback (Radio) and Rapa Award for ‘Best female RJ ‘in India (2008).

Tarana Raja Kapoor is famous for her pairing with RJ Ashish Jagtiani on the radio. In 2016, she moved to Dubai to host the radio show Suno 1024, with him.
