• When he was only 13 years old, he started wrestling training with his brother, Vinod Yadav.

• In the 2012 Olympics, he lost his first bout to Matt Gentry of Canada and knocked out of the tournament.

• He was given the position of Deputy Superintendent of Police by the Maharashtra State Government in 2012.

• After winning the Bronze Medal in the 2014 Asian Games, Yadav was awarded Rs. 25 lakh by the government of Uttar Pradesh.

• He was bought by the ‘Bengaluru Yodhas,’ a wrestling franchise, in the Pro Wrestling League for Rs. 34.5 lakh. The franchise is co-owned by Virat Kohli and JSW group.
