• Sandiip Sikcand is an Indian popular producer, writer, and director. He is the producer of many popular Indian television shows such as ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ (2019), ‘Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali’ (2021), and ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’ (2021).

• He started his own business of exporting garments when he was 17 years old and worked on it for 10 years. Later, Sikcand felt that he was not interested in the field of business and decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming an actor.

• At the age of 27, he started his own theatre company titled ‘Masquerade’ and started producing and directing plays.

• Meanwhile, he was appointed as an Associate Creative Head at Balaji Telefilms, and, after two months, promoted to Creative Head of the company.

• In 2000, Sandiip Sikcand worked in the popular television show “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” as a creative director and a supporting actor as well.

• He also played supporting roles in various television shows including ‘Kesar’ (2004) and ‘Kkehna Hai Kuch Mujhko’ (2004).

• In 2006, he was appointed as the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Sony Entertainment Television.

• Sikcand was the Programming Head for the channel Sony Entertainment Television when the first season of the controversial reality show “Bigg Boss” premiered in 2006. He also suggested adding an extra ‘G’ in the title of the show “Bigg Boss.”

• He is associated with the show since season 1 and also appeared as a guest in various seasons including seasons 14 and 16. In an interview, he talked about the changes that occurred in the show since it was started, and said,

• He considered his role as Nirmala Pandit in his debut film “Murder 2” (2011) to be the best role played him. In an interview, while talking about this, he said,

• After playing the role of Nirmala Pandit in “Murder 2” (2011), Sikcand played the role of Dinesh Zaveri in the film “Black Money” (2012) and Dr Prashant in the film “Tu Hai Mera Sunday” (2016).

• Sikcand worked as a creative director for various popular television shows among which the most notable are ‘Amrit Manthan’ (2012), ‘Kasamh Se’ (2006), and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ (2013).

• In 2007, he worked as a creative director for the show “Dhhai Kilo Prem” which is based on the theme of body shaming due to being overweight. In an interview, Sikcand revealed that he came up with the idea for the show from his own life experiences. He said,
  

  I have always been a fat kid and this has been with me always from my school days. The concept of Dhhai Kilo Prem came out of this fact. This concept has come from my own life. In today’s time, we pay a lot of attention to how a person looks, and not on how a person behaves.”

• Apart from working as an actor and creative director, he has also worked as a producer for various television shows such as ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ (2019), ‘Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali’ (2021), and ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’ (2021).

• His Telugu show “Gorintaku” (2019) received a huge acclamation from the audience after which he made a Hindi remake of it with the title “Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali” (2021).

• He loves to collect film DVDs and has a huge collection of them. In an interview, he revealed that he does not like to share his DVDs with anyone.
