- In childhood, she used to practice posing wearing a crown. While she was studying in school and college, she won Miss Beautiful Smile title in various contests.
- After her class 12, she appeared for an entrance exam in engineering.

- In 2009, she received an offer of the film Malayalam film ‘Neelathamara.’
- Initially, she changed her screen name to Anakha on the advise of the Indian film director Samy. However, when her films flopped, she dropped the name and started using her real name.
