- Aryan Dutt is a Dutch cricketer of Indian origin who has represented the Netherlands in several tournaments. He made headlines with his performances in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
- A few months after his birth, he, along with his family moved to Amsterdam where he later grew up and used to play football (soccer) during the initial years of his childhood.
- One day, he saw Sachin Tendulkar (often referred to as The God of Cricket) playing in a match, got interested in cricket, and started playing it. When he saw Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s iconic World Cup winning six against Sri Lanka during the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup, he made up his mind to become a cricketer; he was eight years old at that time.
- Aryan’s father later met the Ranji and the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketer, Amit Uniyal, in the Netherlands and decided to send Aryan to train at Amit’s Gurusagar Cricket Academy in Chandigarh, India. Aryan was thirteen years old at that time and came to Chandigarh for six months every year from 2013 to 2019.
- While Aryan started playing as a fast bowler, he later transformed into a spin bowler due to a sudden increase in his height as he started having fitness issues while bowling fast.
- Aryan’s father revealed in an interview that his family moved to the Netherlands from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India during the 1980s.
