Controversies	Suspended from the Assembly In 2023, he was suspended after he threw uncooked dal at the podium of the speaker while raising allegations of a Rs. 700 crore scam in the purchase of the pulses for the mid-day meal scheme. • In 2021, he survived country-made bombs thrown at his vehicle by two miscreants on a bike. He described the incident, in an interview, and said,
  

  The incident happened at around 11am while I was returning home. The duo hurled two bombs. One of them also had a pistol in hand, but fled when my PSO gave chase.”

• In 2022, he alleged a threat to the life of some MLAs from the mining mafia.

• In September 2022, he sat in protest with the CMD and Editor-in-Chief of Sudarshan News, Suresh Chavhanke, after Suresh was denied permission to meet Dara Singh, a murder convict of Graham Staines and his children. Suresh had earlier demanded the release of Dara Singh.
