  • Before moving to politics, Ameet worked for 4 years in the corporate sector.
  • After completing his Master’s degree, he worked as a senior executive in the Human Resource Department at Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd. He handled various responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, organization development, competency mapping, and other Human Resource functions.
  • During his corporate job, he was also involved in local politics. However, in 2004, inspired by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, he quit corporate and joined politics full-time.

  • Since then, Ameet Satam has been involved in numerous community service projects for the International Art of Living Foundation.
  • In 2013, Satam was appointed as the chairman of K West Prabhag Samiti, Mumbai. Satam became one of the youngest corporators in the civic body at a time when the BJP had just 31 seats.
  • In 2014, he was chosen to contest the Maharashtra Assembly elections from Andheri West. Ameet Satam won the election and was elected as an MLA for the first time.
  • As an MLA, he worked mainly on beach cleaning projects at Juhu and Versova, promoted waste management, and advocated utility corridors for infrastructure planning. For his campaign, he got support from many Bollywood celebrities.
  • In 2019, in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, he was re-elected from Andheri West.

  • After his appointment, in a press conference, Mumbai chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said,

Ameet Satam is known for his aggressive and studious leadership, and has shouldered many organisational responsibilities. He is well aware of the Mumbai issues and knows how to implement innovative ideas. The Bharatiya Janata Party had emerged as the number one party in Mumbai in the assembly elections last year. I am sure we will break our own record (of 82 seats) registered in the 2017 civic elections in the city in the forthcoming elections.”
