• Around 2002, Neeraj quietly began participating in politics.

• During the 2002 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, he actively campaigned for his father, Rajnath Singh, when he contested from Haidergarh, Uttar Pradesh.

• During the following years, instead of choosing the mainstream politics, he largely worked behind the scenes in organisational and campaign activities within Uttar Pradesh BJP.

• In 2009, Neeraj managed the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency election campaign, where he handled local party workers coordination and public outreach programs.

• In 2014, Singh shifted his entire organizational focus to the Awadh region to serve as his father’s primary representative and grievance-handler in Lucknow.

• From 2014 to 2024, he was chosen by the BJP to organise and handle Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s election campaign in Varanasi.
