• Aman Rao was born in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, and later moved to Hyderabad, India.

• Rao is known as an aggressive top-order batter with sound technique and the ability to score quickly, particularly in limited-overs formats.

• He was brought up in a family incline sports, especially cricket.

• He revealed that his elder brother inspired him to take up cricket. In an interview, he said,

Earlier, my elder brother used to go to cricket practice. I used to go with him. When my brother started playing cricket, I also started playing cricket when I was seven years old. I was very good at it the. My parenst supported me a lot from a young age. I played for Karimnagar district at the age of 10.”

• During the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 season, Aman Rao made his senior domestic debut, where he scored 67 not out against Mizoram, marking his first appearance in that T20 tournament.

• In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Rao hit a quick half-century against Mumbai, taking 24 runs off Shardul Thakur in the opening over.

•  In the U-23 State Trophy 2025-26 season, Aman scored 381 runs in six matches, with a hundred and three half-centuries and a strike rate of 102.97.

• On 16 December 2025, Aman Rao was sold to Rajasthan Royals for his base price of 30 lakh during the 2026 Indian Premier League Auction in Abu Dhabi.

• On the day of the IPL auction, he was playing in a 2025–26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) Super League match against Haryana, where he was dismissed for 13 runs by Anshul Kamboj. While he was happy about receiving an IPL bid, he was also disappointed because Hyderabad lost the match by a huge margin of 124 runs. In an interview, he said,

I didn’t watch the auction that day. The match was going on that day. I picked up the phone and looked at it when my name came up. I was sad because I lost the match that day. My family was happier than me that day.”

• In the 2025-26 SMAT season, Aman performed well, where he scored 234 runs in 10 innings with an average of 26.00 and a strike rate of 163.63. He was also Hyderabad’s fourth-highest scorer and had the second-highest strike rate.

• Aman Rao made his List A debut for Hyderabad in the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where his initial score was modest.

• On 6 January 2026, in his third match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored an unbeaten 200 runs in just 154 balls against Bengal. His 200 included 12 fours and 13 sixes.
