• Ami Mishra was born and brought up in a middle-class family in Mandla, Indore.

• Since childhood, he was interested in singing. He used to participate in various singing competitions.

• While he was in school, he started performing at Hotel Vision Mahal.

• After completing his MBA, Ami Mishra started working in an MNC in Indore. After working there for a few months, he left the job and came to Mumbai in 2014 to pursue a career in singing.

• While he was in Mumbai, his friend insisted him to share a few recordings of his songs with the Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt through WhatsApp. Mahesh liked his songs and called him to visit his office. Mahesh then arranged a meeting of Ami with the Indian filmmaker Mohit Suri. He was then selected to sing the song Haan Hasi Ban Gaye from the Hindi film Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015).

• He then participated in the Hindi reality TV show Indian Idol Missed The Bus, which aired on Sony TV and was declared the winner. After this, he participated in the show MTV Rock On, which aired on UTV Bindass in 2011.
