Controversies	• Assaulting Wife for Dowry In March 2019, his wife Sumi’s father filed a complaint against him for assaulting Sumi for dowry. In the police compliant, Sumi’s father mentioned that Alom had demanded Tk 2 lakh as dowry from him. Earlier, Alom had assaulted Sumi when she opposed Alom’s decision of second marriage. Some Lesser Known Facts About Hero Alom

• Hero Alom was born to a very poor family.

• When he was 10 years old, his father left him and his mother for some other woman.

• He was then adopted by another man in his village named Abdur Razzak.

• Alom then started selling chanachur in his village to meet the financial expenses. He even left his studies to support his family financially.

• After selling chanachur in the day, he used to watch TV at a nearby shop. The owner of the shop then offered him a job at the shop at night. To earn more money, he started selling CDs and cassettes there.

• He then bought the shop in instalments and started a cable network business ‘Sokal-Sondha Cable Network’ in his village. Initially, he used to earn only Taka 70-Taka 80 with his business.

• At the shop, he used to watch pictures of models on cassettes. Gradually, he developed an interest in modelling.

• In 2008, he appeared as a model in a Bangladeshi music video which he released on his cable network channel.

• Later, he uploaded hundreds of his videos on his network channel. Some of his Bangladeshi music videos are Chokh Jurano Moner Moto (2018), Chupi Chupi (2019), Varsityr Satri (2020), Ondhokar Kobore (2021), and DJ Kala (2021).
