He stated that he was in the process of closing it when he was inadvertently captured in the leaked video. In response to the incident and the perceived inaction regarding Jadav Lal Nath's suspension from the Assembly, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman staged a protest by entering the Tripura Assembly with a bottle of Gangajal (holy water) and symbolically sprinkled it throughout the premises. This act was intended as a symbolic purification of the Assembly in protest against the non-suspension of Jadav Lal Nath.
