• Due to continuous threats from unknown individuals, Jasmeen left Karachi for her safety. Despite the seriousness of the threats, she claimed that her organisation did not provide her with adequate support.

• Later, while attending a national media briefing with over 90 journalists, Jasmeen spoke about the threats and got emotional. In response, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was present at the event, promised to review the law and order situation in Karachi.
