Jaspal Singh Atwal known by his stage name JS Atwal is an Indian Punjabi singer, songwriter, and record producer from California regarded as the first-ever Punjabi singer to release the song Sharaabi Teri Tor with the famous Punjabi rapper Bohemia in 2020.

JS Atwal was born in Bir Amin, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India into an ethnic Punjabi Sikh farmer family. He believes in Waheguru and Guru Granth Sahib!

He started learning music from his school teacher and started writing Punjabi songs. He occasionally composes lyrics. He wrote songs and video song scripts, mainly in Punjabi and Hindi.

When JS Atwal came to California, America, he started working as an employee at a 7-Eleven store.

JS Atwal got his commercial driving license and worked as a truck driver. Now, JS Atwal has his own trucking company.

He has sung many popular Punjabi songs like “Sharaabi Teri” ft Bohemia and “Ha Ke Na.” During an interview, while talking about his song “Ha Ke Na,” he said,

Ha Ke Na’ is a piece of Punjabi pop music that will make you groove whenever or wherever you listen to it. Right from the vocals to the video of the song which has been shot in Las Vegas with the ‘Red Notice’ actress Brenna Marie, everything about this song is captivating.”

He talked about his inspiration to release the second song in an interview. He said,

I think for all artists the greatest inspiration comes from the audience. The more they shower love and support to artists the more they feel confident and are inspired to make new songs. Also I would really like to one thing. I come from a family of farmers, and though I am inclined towards a different line of work, I get full support from my family. Their faith in me, and their support really inspire me to work better and harder.”
