He claimed that Manish's wife informed him about their affair in 2020. According to him, Jyoti and Manish first met on Facebook. When he confronted Jyoti about the affair, she denied it and asked for proof. He mentioned that he followed Jyoti to Lucknow and saw her meeting Manish there. He alleged that they spent the night together at a hotel called Myriad, which was booked by Manish. The next morning, when he confronted Jyoti, she confessed to loving Manish. He further claimed that Jyoti threatened him and his family with false charges, including rape allegations. He released WhatsApp chat messages between Jyoti and Manish as evidence of their intimacy. He also showed a diary that he claimed belonged to Jyoti, which allegedly documented bribes she had taken during her time as an SDM.
