Mohammad Samad’s parents were not financially well-off and thus faced many problems while raising Mohammad Samad and his five siblings.

He made his on-screen debut in 2012 as a child artist by playing the lead role of Gattu in the Bollywood film ‘Gattu.’

In an interview, Samad narrated the entire selection process for his role in Gattu. He said, “I didn’t know what acting was. I just auditioned for Gattu when the crew came to our school looking for children to act in the film. I was among the 20 children who were selected. Then the list was made shorter. I was one of the four finalists. One fine day, they told me I was selected. I was happy to have come first. I wanted to make my parents proud.”

In 2018, Mohammad Samad got the lead role of Manju Kumar in an Indian Netflix Original Sports web television series ‘Selection Day.’
