• Om Prakash Mathur joined RSS and became its Pracharak in 1972.

• In his early political career, Om Mathur was groomed by Bhairon Singh Shekhawa, the 11th Vice-President of India.

• Om Prakash has worked very closely with Narendra Modi. They have known each other since the late seventies when they were in the RSS.
