Some Lesser Known Facts About Parth Pawar

  • Parth Pawar was born in a powerful family, as his uncle Sharad Pawar served as Chief Minister of Maharashtra 4 times.
  • He later became a member of the NCP and worked to expand the party.
  • The controversy over a land deal began when an FIR was filed on 6 November 2025 by the Pimpri Chinchwad police.
  • The complaint, filed by the Inspector General of the Registrar’s office, named Digvijay Patil, Shital Tejwani, and sub-registrar R. B. Taru for alleged cheating and misappropriation in connection with a ₹300 crore land transaction in Pune’s Mundhwa area.
  • According to reports, the deal involved 40 acres of government land that was allegedly sold to Amadea Enterprises LLP, a firm where he is a director.
  • Opposition leaders claimed that the land’s market value was around ₹1,800 crore, and that the required stamp duty had not been paid.
  • Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Pawar said that his son Parth and his partner Digvijay Patil were unaware that the land belonged to the government.
  • The concerned land is government property and cannot be sold. Parth and his partner did not know this. How the registration was done and who is responsible will come out in the probe,” Pawar said.
  • Pawar added that the government has appointed a committee led by Additional Chief Secretary Vikas Kharge, which will submit its report by 7 December 2025.
  • He confirmed that the registration documents have been cancelled and affidavits submitted to the authorities.
  • No money was paid and no possession was taken,” Pawar said, clarifying that the transaction was not completed. The Deputy CM further stated that neither he nor his office had any role in the matter.
  • Neither I nor my office made any calls or offered any help in this transaction,” he said. Pawar also mentioned that he had instructed officials to take strict action if any irregularities were found in any other land deals involving his relatives.
  • Parth Pawar, on his part, agreed to cancel the deal to avoid any suspicion of wrongdoing.
  • My son Parth says the proposed deal was within the law and transparent, but in public life we should not allow even doubt to arise. The cancellation papers have been submitted to the registering authority,” Ajit Pawar added.
