- Qazi Touqeer is an Indian Singer, Actor, and YouTuber.
- His uncle Qazi Rafi is a well-known singer in Kashmir valley. While talking about his uncle in an interview, Touqeer said,
My uncle is my favorite singer and mentor since childhood.”
- He was also fond of acting, along with singing, since childhood. In an interview, he said that he used to mimic several Indian film heroes in his childhood. His brother used to accompany him to shoot his mimic acts at Mughal gardens in Kashmir.
- His father used to guide him because he had little knowledge of singing.

Before 2005, when i first saw Abhijeet Sawant performing in Indian idol and gaining so much love, respect and huge success, i knew that this show is made for me only. With great confidence, i used to tell everyone that i would definitely go there and win, i m the future star of the show. I used to visualize myself, performing in the show and gladly in 2005 among thousands & lakhs of people, i got selected for the show “Fame Gurukul”. Though i have gone in danger zone several times but in the end, with all the love and support of people, i won the show.”
- After winning the show “Fame Gurukul” in 2005, the former president of India A.P.J Abdul Kalam declared Qazi Touqeer as “The Hero of Kashmir.” Qazi Touqeer also made a record of getting the highest votes in comparison to any other contestants of the Indian reality shows back then.
