Raj Chakraborty is a most successful Tollywood director, and producer.

He was born into the middle-class family among 3 siblings.

During his school days, he used to participate in theatre group plays.

After completing his graduation, he left his home and moved to Kolkata to make his career in acting.

Despite the struggle, he did not get relevant roles, so he decided to change his career from acting to directing.

In 2000, he started working as an assistant director under director Arindam Dey (Mamdo Da).

After 6 years of continuous and hard struggle, he directed his own telefilm ‘Nawder Chaand’ and by the huge success of the telefilm, he directed almost 17 telefilms, talk shows and non-fiction reality shows like ‘Mirakkel’ and ‘Dance Bangla Dance’.

He has directed and produced more than 20 Bangla films.

He has his own production namely ‘Raj Chakraborty Productions’.
