In the year 2019, he contested the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections as a candidate representing the Janasena Party from the Punganur Constituency. He faced defeat in the elections and secured the third position, trailing behind Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and N Anesha Reddy.
- Following the setback, he decided to part ways with the Janasena Party and commenced the groundwork for forming a new political party in Andhra Pradesh.
- On 4 December, 2022, Ramchandra organized an event named Rythu Bheri in Sadum village, with the intention of addressing the alleged injustices, exploitation, and challenges faced by farmers. However, the police intervened and brought the event to a halt, leading to a chaotic situation. Later that night, a group of YSRCP cadres purportedly vandalized Yadav’s residence in Punganur. In response to these incidents, on 11 January 2023 Ramachandra Yadav travelled to New Delhi to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. During their meeting, he formally lodged a complaint against Ramachandra Reddy, holding him responsible for the attack on his house. Moreover, Yadav asserted that the Minister was obstructing his efforts to organize job melas. Consequently, the Union Home Ministry decided to provide ‘Y+’ security cover to Ramachandra Yadav.

- During his address to the gathering, Ramachandra Yadav emphasized the primary objective of his party – to liberate the people of Andhra Pradesh from the clutches of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), TDP, and the Indian National Congress (INC). He accused the YSRCP and TDP of neglecting the welfare of the Backward Classes (BCs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and minorities when it came to the fair distribution of welfare programs. He said,
As the people are unable to break free from the shackles of these family parties, I am setting up the BCYP to bring about the much-needed change in AP politics with real socio-economic empowerment of the BCs, SCs, STs and minorities as its underlying objective.”
He added,
