- Ram Nath Thakur is an Indian politician who is also famous for being the son of Karpoori Thakur, an Indian politician who was awarded Bharat Ratna in 2024. He has been a member of Janata Dal (United) for more than 10 years. He has been an MLA in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, a Minister in several Bihar governments, and a Rajya Sabha MP.
- During his teenage years, he started participating in non-violent movement in the 1970s. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, Jai Prakash Narayan (popularly called Lok Nayak), and his father, Karpoori Thakur (popularly called Jan Nayak) have a major influence on his political vision.
