- His grandfather, Beant Singh, was the 12th Chief Minister of Punjab who was assassinated in August 1995.
- Ravneet Singh Bittu attended Guru Nanak Public School in Chandigarh and passed out in 1993.

- In January 2021, at the Singhu border, he was allegedly subjected to a “murderous attack” by some “mischievous elements” who assaulted, pushed, and removed his turban during a Jan Sansad program. He claimed that during the attack at the Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Memorial, where he had gone to attend the occasion alongside Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla and party MLA Kulbir Singh Zira, his vehicle was also damaged. After the incident, Ravneet Singh Bittu took to Facebook and talk about the situation and wrote a post that read,

- From 11 March 2021 to 18 July 2021, he led the Indian National Congress in the Lok Sabha. Ravneet Singh Bittu was appointed Leader of the party in the Lok Sabha replacing Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, a politician serving as the leader of the Indian National Congress in the 17th Lok Sabha, was busy in 2021 West Bengal election, for the budget session of parliament.
