ControversiesAccused of Sexual Assault
In 2018, he was accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Mauritius. According to sources, Sandeep went to find shooting locations in Mauritius. He stayed at the Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Hotel and befriended a minor boy who was also present at the hotel with his family for a vacation. The father of the minor boy made allegations that his son was taken to Sandeep's room and forced him into sexual act. Later, the boy escaped from the room and narrated the whole incident to his father. The boy's father was ignored by the hotel staff when he needed help from them. Thereafter, Sandeep was not found in the hotel premises. The incident took place on 29 March 2018 between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm. [1]India.Com
Accused of Involvement in Sushant Singh Rajput's Death Case
In 2020, after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Sandeep Singh was seen directing the ambulance, looking after hospital formalities and being present at the actor's last rites as he was a close friend of the actor. This behaviour towards the actor made many viewers suspicious after the media and Sushant's fans accused Sandeep of the actor's death. Later, Sandeep claimed in an interview that because of the false claims he was not able to come out of his home and went into depression for several months. He also claimed that the Hindi film industry started to avoid him after the incident. [2]India Today
Legal Battle over Film Rights
In 2023, actor Randeep Hooda claimed that he owned 100% intellectual property rights of the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar (2024). Thereafter, advocate of film producers Sandeep Singh and Anand Pandit claimed that both of them were the exclusive joint producers of the film and owned the entire 100% intellectual property rights and exploitation rights. The advocate also accused Randeep Hooda for making false claims as he was signed by production houses Legend Studios Private Limited and Anand Pandit Motion Pictures LLP. as an actor for the film and not producer. A source close to Randeep revealed that Sandeep changed the film title before registering it with the Screen Writers Association on 12 November 2023. The notice that was sent to Sandeep Singh and Anand Pandit from Randeep Hooda's team mentioned that the film was made half and then shelved by Sandeep and Anand which later Randeep took over as a producer, director, writer, and actor as he was deeply invested in the film. Later, legal actions were taken against both the parties.[3]The Times of India
