- Sanvir’s interest in cricket began after his mother brought him a plastic bat.
- In age-group cricket, Sanvir Singh was called ‘Neil Johnson’ as he used to open the bowling and batting just like the former Zimbabwe all-rounder.
- Sanvir first hit the headlines when he scored 626 runs that included a double century against Tamil Nadu in the Cooch Behar Trophy in 2014-15 season.
- Sanvir was the highest scorer for Punjab during their title win in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy with 520 runs including two centuries and seven wickets.
- On 28 September 2018, Sanvir made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
- Before his Ranji Trophy debut, Sanvir was once again the top scorer for Punjab in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy with 470 runs at an average of more than 65 and also took 12 wickets.
