Records/Achievements• Kaul claimed his first five-wicket haul of the Ranji-Trophy career in his debut match in the 2007-08 season and finished with figures of 5 wickets for 97 runs.
• With 10 wickets under his belt, he was the joint-leading wicket-taker for India U-19 in the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Kaul averaged merely 15 in the tournament.
• In the 2012-13 season of Ranji-Trophy, he was the second highest wicket-taker of the tournament.

  • He belongs to a family of cricketers. His father, a former physiotherapist of Indian Cricket team, was the First-class cricketer for Jammu and Kashmir cricket team.
  • Kaul’s brother, Uday, is also a cricketer and plays for Punjab cricket team at domestic level. Uday is a batsman wicket-keeper.
  • When Kaul made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2007, his brother was already a member of the team.
  • He was a part of victorious Indian cricket team which had won the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup under the leadership of Virat Kohli.
